Product listings for Stands Trussing And Clamps
These are available with simple cast bases, lightweight fold out legs, and also in heavy duty versions designed to stand up to life on tour. Some mic stands come with extendable boom arms that enable more accurate placement of the microphone itself.
Most stands are supplied without clips, all our microphones for sale include suitable clips and we also stock microphone holders in a number of sizes.
Most of the speaker stands that rely on muscle power to raise the stand and speaker are limited to a maximum load of 25kg. The stands we supply are height adjustable with safety pins to stop the stand collapsing under the weight of your speakers.
In addition to floor standing speaker stands we also supply distance poles that allow your subwoofers to support smaller speakers above them.
The tripod stands are more stable if the legs are positioned so that the central support pole Is close To the ground rather than having it higher to gain more speaker height.
Common speaker stand receptacles are the 35mm top hat and 20mm threaded socket.
Stage light stands
It is really important to read the manufactures specification and not to exceed the maximum load. All lighting fixtures should be securely attached with the main fixing point and a secondary wire safety bond.
Some lighting stands come with a 48mm lighting bar that will take standard hook clamps while others such as DJ Light stands will come with a smaller square bar. The square bar uses bolts and wing nuts to secure the lighting fixtures.
Effects units can also be suspended from lighting stands with the correct mounting hook.
Wind up stands
High quality wind up stands usually expand much taller than manual tripod stands, especially those designed with heavy weight bases.
These stands can be used to support aluminium trussing or used on their own to support speakers and lighting fixtures with the use of the correct attachments.
Some windup stands used an exposed winch cable which must be kept in clean good condition for safe usage of the stand.
We supply standard 50mm aluminium stage trussing in either 3 way or 4 way configurations. In our view the 4 way type will build a stronger structure. Each manufacturer supplies instructions on how to assemble their truss system.
Floor plates are available to protect floors from pressure marks (the ends of truss sections can leave quite an impression), they also allow free standing structures such as archways to be constructed.
The longer sections will be dispatched via special courier and will require a couple of people to offload on delivery.
