Unlike fog machines that create effects using fog and smoke like vapour, the purpose of the haze machine is to highlight beams of light and the effects of lighting on the performance space.

All of these units use water based haze and water based fluids are non toxic. Please ensure that in light shows using lots of haze that there is enough ventilation. Unlike oil based fluids water based fluids do not leave a residue on lighting fixtures.

Most units provide a remote control and some also use DMX control.

Haze reflects the light emitted by stage lighting and moving heads enabling your audience to see the beams of light and patterns in stage shows. Smoke machines would obscure the light beams.

Theatrical productions can also use haze to recreate the shafts of light from high windows in old buildings.
